to Make Slicing Cheese a Piece of Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every now and again, I love a shortcut.\u00a0 Especially one that gives me more time to do other fun things.\u00a0 I also love cheese.\u00a0 And while we always have cheese of some kind in the house, blocks of cheese tend to be reserved for special occasions and company.\u00a0 But when there are special occasions and\/or company, there are 100s of things to do besides slicing cheese.\u00a0 Amaright?<\/p>\n<p>So I came up with this.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know if I made it up or I saw it somewhere or maybe I saw something similar or whatever, get to the point already, right?<\/p>\n<p>You start with your basic block-o-cheese.\u00a0 This one is a super delicious Cracker Barrel Black Pepper variety.\u00a0 But, really, that doesn&#8217;t matter.\u00a0 But it is good.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.skurtz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120321-IMG_9870.jpg?ssl=1\" rel=\"lightbox\"><img fun part.\u00a0 Put away your cheese slicer or your knife or whatever you thought you were going to slice this cheese with.\u00a0 Now go get your egg slicer.<\/p>\n<p>This is the one I have.<\/p>\n<p><a which makes this easy, but if yours folds over or something, it should work just as well.\u00a0 Just line the wire slicer up over a section of cheese and push down.\u00a0 Its not going to go through as easily as it goes through egg, but it should go through cheese just fine.\u00a0 As you get close to the cutting board, you may have to lift the block of cheese and the slicer up, turn them over and sorta push the last bit of cheese through the slicer with your thumbs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.skurtz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/20120321-IMG_9873.jpg?ssl=1\" just cut like, what, 8 slices of cheese at once.\u00a0 You do that 2 more times with the last 2 section, toss &#8217;em on a plate with some Triscuits and you&#8217;re done.\u00a0 And check out those
