Camp Hamburgers & Hashbrowns

Once we fire up the grill for the season, we make hamburgers A LOT!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • jalapeno pepper flakes
  • garlic powder
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 4 slice bacon
  • 4 English muffins
  • 4 slice cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • mustard
  • ketchup
  • sliced pickles

Instructions

  • Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, jalapeno flakes, and garlic powder in bowl. Mix well. Form into 4 patties. Set aside.
  • Put potatoes in pot and add water to cover. Bring water to boil and then turn off heat. Leave potatoes in water for 10-15 minutes. Remove potatoes from water and allow to cool. Once cool, shred.
  • Preheat grill.
  • Cook bacon. Remove bacon from grease and allow to drain/dry on paper towel. While bacon grease is still hot, add potatoes in a thin layer across pan. Season as desired.
  • Put burgers on grill for 6-7 minutes. Flip once (and maybe go back in and stir potatoes). Cook 4-5 minutes more. Add one slice of cheese to each patty. Put English muffins in toaster and then remove burgers from grill.
  • Once muffins are toasted, assemble burgers as desired with bacon and condiments. Serve with potatoes.
