Soy garlic steak with mushrooms & barley
Steps
- Prepare barley according to packet instructions.
- Place the steak into a shallow dish and add the soy sauce and garlic. Rub over steak and allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, add the mushrooms and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Spoon onto a serving plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
- Heat same skillet to medium heat. Once hot, cook steak (save the marinade) for 2 to 3 minutes each side for medium, or until cooked to your liking. Pour over the marinade juices and cook for a further 1 minute.
- Place steak onto a serving plate and serve with the mushrooms and barley. Pour over any remaining juices.
