Ingredients  

  • tbsp Light mayo 0.8oz
  • 1 tbsp Cilantro fresh chopped
  • 3 oz Tuna canned in water drained 3oz
  • ¼ small Red onion sliced 0.5oz
  • ½ Pickled jalapeno pepper chopped 0.4oz
  • ½ Lime cut into two wedges 1.2oz
  • 1 dash Black pepper
  • 2 slice Whole-grain bread 2.3oz
  • 2 leaves Romaine lettuce outer 2oz
  • ½ medium Carrots shredded 1.1oz

Steps 

  1. Prepare the Spiced tuna salad sandwich according to recipe instructions below and enjoy for lunch!

  3. In a small bowl, combine the mayo and cilantro. In a separate bowl, combine the tuna, red onion and jalapeno. Squeeze over 1 lime wedge and season to taste.
  4. Spread the mayo onto each slice of bread. Top 1 slice of bread with 1 lettuce leaf. Spoon on half the tuna mix and half the carrot. Top with the second lettuce leaf, spoon over the remaining tuna and carrot. Add the second bread slice, mayo side down. Cut the sandwich in half and enjoy!
