Asian Roast Pork

A shredded pork recipe with an Asian flair.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dried Thai chile peppers
  • 1 4- pound pork shoulder

Instructions

  • Combine salt, sugar and pepper in small bowl.
  • Transfer pork shoulder to resealable plastic bag. Pour salt mixture into bag and seal. Massage seasoning into pork through bag and refrigerate over night.
  • The next day, place marinated pork shoulder in crock pot (on a rack, if you have one). Cook on low for 8 hours. Let cool and shred meat, discarding bones.
